Will these hat bands work on any hat?
Yes. Fedora Hat Bands can be worn on virtually any hat to change or enhance the look.
Do I need a special hat to wear one of these bands?
No special hat is required. These bands can be worn as a traditional hat band or styled as a decorative accent to refresh the look of an existing hat.
These hat bands look wide. How wide are they?
Fedora Hat Bands are intentionally designed with generous width to make a visual impact. They add a noticeable splash of color, texture, or pattern that can completely change the look of a hat.
How do the bands stay in place?
When paired with select Rawls-Riley Creations hats, fedora hat bands use quick-release Velcro fasteners to help keep the band securely positioned on the hat. This means you don’t have to worry about the band slipping off when a hat is tossed in the car, caught by the wind, packed in a beach bag, or tucked into luggage for travel. The fastener also makes it easy to switch bands whenever you want a different look using the same hat.
When worn on other hats, fedora hat bands can be styled and adjusted securely around the crown like a traditional hat band.
Can the fastening be removed?
Yes. If you prefer to wear the band without any fastening, just let us know at the time of purchase and it will be sent without it.
Are the bands adjustable?
Yes. Fedora hat bands are not preset to a specific size. They are designed with flexibility in mind and can be adjusted using the Velcro exact-fit fastener to comfortably fit a wide range of hat styles and crown sizes.
Can I wear these bands on different hats, or do they stay on one hat permanently?
You can absolutely move them between hats. As long as the band is not glued or sewn in place, it can be switched from one hat to another. Many customers enjoy using the same band on multiple hats or rotating bands to refresh the look of a favorite hat.
About Folies Line Prints
Folies hat bands are designed and made by Rawls-Riley Creations using artist-designed fabric prints carefully curated for color, scale, and how they work as a hat band. Only a small selection of prints make it into the Folies line.
Once a print is part of the Folies line, it remains part of the curated collection. Finished bands using these prints may sell out quickly—especially at shows—but the design itself is not gone. If a Folies print catches your eye, you can request a similar band through a custom order, even if the exact piece is no longer available.
How do these hat bands go on a hat?
There are a few easy steps.
When used on our hats, attach the band to the Velcro fastening strips.
1. Wrap the band around the crown of the hat and secure it with the Velcro closure to form an exact-fit circle.
2. To hold the end of the band neatly in place, slide the crossover band on top and position it where you like.

Every Fedora Hat Band is made in Kansas City using our original designs and patterns, with careful construction and hand-finished details. This is the way it’s done—so each band looks good, wears well, and reflects the craftsmanship behind it.
Care
Easy care for everyday wear. Most bands can be machine washed cold and air dried or dried on low heat. Bands made with specialty materials are best hand washed and air dried.
